An all-new commercial vehicle facility has officially opened in Stormill, Roodepoort. The Sandown Commercial Vehicles Roodepoort facility specialises in both sales and service of Freightliner trucks, the local market leader amongst American commercial vehicle brands, and similarly the sales and service of the stalwart commercial vehicle brand from Japan, Mitsubishi FUSO.

This is another show of confidence by the Sandown Motor Holdings Group in the local economy and more specifically, their belief that there is a still solid growth opportunity in the transport industry. The facility, built and equipped at a cost of approx. R20 million, is further display of Sandown’s commitment to supporting their Freightliner and Mitsubishi FUSO customers operating in the western areas of Gauteng.

With customer satisfaction as the highest priority, the team at Sandown Commercial Vehicles will be focussing on getting customers’ vehicles back on the road as quickly and effectively possible. The teams responsible for vehicle servicing and parts supply, aim to set the benchmark for exceptional turnaround times and providing top quality workmanship.

The new facility has 18 drive-through workshop bays equipped with the latest computer technology to provide engine diagnostic reports. All service equipment is conveniently placed to be immediately available to the technicians, leading to a good service turnaround time.

As part of the larger Sandown Motor Holdings Group, the new facility will also benefit from a strategic focus on skills development and retention, particularly for highly sought after technical skills.
